We pride ourselves in the care we give to our clients, both four-legged and two! Our horses are treated as family, fed only the best feed on the market and always have access to clean water, hay and/or grass. Owner/trainer Megan Burgess Torres lives on site so the horses are always kept a close eye on.
Because we are dedicated to quality care for our horses we only allow a certain number of horses at a time on the farm at one time, so there is often a wait list because of our quality care and small facility. If you are interested in boarding please give us a call, we have limited availability.
Megan's love for teaching extends to the horses. She has trained horses from starting/breaking to finished 1.20m jumpers. She spends a great deal of time ensuring a foundation of flat work is in place before introducing jumping. She is a firm believer in not pushing horses too fast and building their confidence the same way she works to build her riders' confidence.
Her passion is in "re-purposing" off the track thoroughbreds and finishing ponies but has experience in working with many different breeds.
Trainer, Megan Burgess Torres, is dedicated to teaching horse lovers of all ages how to ride and care for horses. She has a degree in Psychology and has a passion for teaching, both horses and riders. Before opening her barn she was a working student/assistant trainers at several barns. She is dedicated to continuing her education and still takes lessons and attends clinics.
Another service offered to our clients is assisting in selling and buying horses. Megan uses her gift for photography & her connections in the local horse industry to help move horses ready for a new home as well as shop for her riders' mounts. A 12% commission is usually involved when buying and selling.
